Pashupatina necklaces
beautiful beads. Maybe someday I’ll link the ones I’ve bought over the last couple years. They’re all pictured there. Even the one I broke (the most beautiful one, of course).

Bamako | San Francisco Film Festival
Interesting post-screening panel discussion on this polemic film. Danny Glover (w/3-yr-old grandson in tote), while answering an audience Q mentioned that more people have rented Hotel Rwanda on DVD (from Netflix?) than ever saw it in theaters.

Reprise | San Francisco Film Festival
Saw this one today. I always enjoy subtitled flicks (I know, sounds like a lame thing to say, doesn’t it) and this one was Norwegian, with some touching bits of dark comedy. Filmmaker described as a former skate/punker.

RecipeSource: Spam Primavera
I was checking if certain emails I should be getting at my gmail account are ending up in my spam folder instead. I’m usually pretty good at ignoring the ad links, but this one caught my attention. “Source: Geo. A Hormel Co, 1992″ - of course.

YouTube - Crazy Indian Music Video
Yeah, this kind of sums up what I remember of Indian movies playing in the living room during the 90s. If something like that was playing as you walked by, it was kind of hard not to stop and watch the freak show.

I just emailed a resume and cover letter. Actually a résumé. It was that important.
Lingering over the email I had just sent out, opening the attached resume to look over one last time, I discover that I just sent out a resume that says I graduated Phi Beta Kapp. It’s the very last thing at [...]

NPR : Weighing Cho’s Heritage, and Identity
Robert Siegel claims Cho as on of our own, a local, in contrast to the international headlines that identified him as a Korean or South Korean first. This might seem irrelevant given his actions, but it’s not.
